Very good, except, the cleaning people were a little too anxious. I left the camp site for a brief trip only to return to find my rug was gone. I still had another day left on my reservation. I did hunt them down and got it back later. I think belongings should be left alone as long as the site is rented. Thanks

We stayed at site 20 on June 10 - June 12. Loved it! Clean, quiet and beautiful weather. Nights got a bit chilly (low 30s). Plenty of firewood - 10$ a bundle - Definitely want to come back!

The lake is absolutely beautiful and just the drive to the campsite is amazing. The mountains around the lake are an amazing view you could stare at for hours. Plenty of walkable trails around, with a variety of hikes in the areas for all skill levels.

That said, we did not experience the camp hosts as being very friendly or welcoming. They are clearly committed to doing their jobs which I greatly appreciate for sure; however they seemed to be assuming negative intent... As one of a couple examples, one day they came onto our campsite while we were eating lunch and the first thing out of their mouth was "That's a fine!" When I asked what was, they said having the trashbag outside. As mentioned, we were eating lunch outside and cleaning up at the same time, throwing our trash and recycling away in their bags, which we were then going to immediately stow away back in the trunk of my car. They said we can't just keep them outside, to which we responded were weren't going to... we just happened to be eating and cleaning up. They then proceeded to hand us a list of rules and go through all of them with us, using what felt like a demeaning and annoyed tone. It was jut a weird expreience. We probably will not visit this campsite again as a result. Left a bad taste in our mouths.
That said, you only have to interact with the hosts a very small amount of time, so if you're good at ignoring that kind of stuff, it wont bother you.

Another thing to just be prepared for is the layout of the campsites is a little wonky for many of them. The placement of the wheel stops for where you park your cars, the fire pit, and the area available for the tent are organzied in a way to where you have to get a little creative. The only place we could put our 4 person tent on our campsite ended up being much closer to the fire pit than we liked, both from a safety standpoint and a smoke smell standpoint. I noticed many of the sites were this way.

I stayed 14 days and loved every minute of it. The views of Elbert and Massive are awesome inspiring. The camp hosts did a wonderful job!!! Drew and his wife kept everything running smoothly.

We really liked our particular campsite, 032. It was a bit further away from other campsites than our previous locations and we enjoyed the extra privacy.
The only potential drawback is that the campsite it perhaps 20 ft below the parking spaces. We didn't mind, but the lugging up and down may deter some.

College kids blasting music and partying until about 12 am. For what ever reason quite hours were not enforced here.

As always a lovely place to camp. Can’t understand why everything is reserved but a third or less of the campsites are occupied. There is a real problem!
