What Guests Are Saying
Molly Brown Campground offers a stunning location with beautiful views, spacious and well-maintained sites, and easy access to Turquoise Lake, making it a favorite for many campers. The hosts are attentive, keeping the facilities clean and providing helpful recommendations for local activities. However, the lack of potable water and occasional issues with restroom cleanliness have been noted by some visitors, but overall, the campground is highly recommended for its serene environment and outdoor opportunities.

Very peaceful and beautiful. We kayaked in the morning (and do it early before the winds pick up), hiked part way around the lake, and enjoyed time by the firepit.

Even though we were in the back loop, not on the lake, it wasn't far to walk to the lake. Being back away from the shore shields you from the afternoon wind that comes off the lake too. Our site was spacious, and quiet. There is a mountain biking trail network that leaves right from Molly Brown campground, which was nice.
My only complaint is that the camp host was very snooty and unfriendly.

It’s a great campground. Lots of room between sites with easy access to water from all. It’s a hard place to get a site. We had to move 3 times to get 3 nights. Sadly neither site we left was ever occupied during our stay. It just tells me people are not good about canceling if they can’t make it. PLEASE cancel if you aren’t going to make it. It gives other people the joy of camping at a great place.

One of our favorite camp grounds. Super clean, right off the water, beautiful! Will stay again! Try to get a water spot if available

Restrooms were awful!! We have camped there several times and this is the first time for this. They needed pumping and the odor made one have to hold our breath when entering. If this is a change in your policy, we will not be returning and will let others know as well.

This is my favorite campground area in Colorado and have been coming here multiple times every summer for years. Even in a packed campground for the 4th of July weekend, this place feels spacious with all the trees and widely spaced sites. Lots of firewood for sale, clean bathrooms, and drinking water from a tap. Nice and cool at nearly 11 thousand feet and close to the historic town of Leadville should you need anything.

Nice campground but was unable to get a site closer to the lake even though I reserved a spot at 8AM 6 months prior. The restrooms and sites were clean. Mosquitoes were plentiful due to all the recent rains and snow melt. Lots of great hiking and biking trails surround the lake.
