What Guests Are Saying
Jumbo Campground is a beautiful and well-maintained site with friendly hosts and stunning scenery, making it a favorite for campers. Visitors appreciate the clean facilities, ample hiking trails, and nearby lakes for fishing and exploring. While there are some concerns about the odor from the vault toilets and limited food options, the overall experience is positive, with many guests eager to return.

Fly fishing in the lakes was good, Hike to Lost Lake one day then up and back on Craig Crest trail another day, wounder full views.

Campground hosts pleasant and helpful. Weather was perfect. Suggestions: take good hiking boots and enjoy the Colorado Great Outdoors.

nice site (#2) near the lake. Camp hosts were friendly; and the campground and toilets were clean. Good shade from the sun. About 20 degrees cooler than anyplace in the valleys outside the Grand Mesa National Forest. Spotty [T-Mobile] cell service but good service about two miles away at paved overlook toward Grand Junction.

Super nice hosts! Terry and Bill were so welcoming and informative about the area. Campground was spotless, bathrooms clean. Thanks for a great visit to the Mesa.

Have been going to Jumbo twice a year since 2009. This was the worst stay yet. People don't pay any attention to the regulations. And the campground hosts, though they are nice people, won't enforce them. This is a campground, not an rv park, and it is not somewhere you are camping far away from other people and can do anything you want.
