It was great to be able to stay here again, it was closed last year due to the fires. It was sad to see the areas that did burn but still lots of beauty around. Our grandson caught a fish so he was a happy boy! I rode my bike around as they fished, loved it.

It's a nice campground. Unfortunately, the people using it before us left quite a mess and it wasn't cleaned before we got there. There were cigarette butts and food all over the campsite, (and human feces!!). Other than that, it's a nice area to camp.

The site was clean and level. 50 amp plug in but air conditioning was needed. The trash bins needed emptied. They were so full the bear proof lids could not be closed.

We are asking for a refund from our reservations of June 15-17. We were made aware of the 'no water' HOWEVER we were not informed that the restrooms were closed. The only one available, a pit toilet was 1/4 mile in Loop B. By husband has severe health issues which is why we selected Site #12 that had immediate access to the restroom. When we asked the campground host, both said to contact this site since the reservations were made online. We would like a refund for these two nights. Please advise.
We also noted that many sites were not occupied on the dates given making this campground very inaccessible to those looking for a quick 2-3 night camping experience. If people aren't going to use these, please open up to those of us who would use them.

I was disappointed that the water was of as of the time of my visit still not functioning, therefore only half of the restrooms were usable, and they were a distance away. Also the trash dumpsters were in desperate need of emptying. The campground hosts were very courteous and attentive. The site itself is a usable getaway and only a short walk to the lake which was teaming with fish. Be aware the area is in a rebuilding stage after substantial damage from both pine bark beetle and the Cameron Peak fire.

Camp sites are clean, spacious and not on top of each other. Very nice place to camp.

Kind hosts. Clean sites. Fish were biting. The stores in the village have been updated & full of everything you could ever need.
