Campground was clean and overall, in very good shape. Very Full which is always a challenge. Couple of camp sites with loud music and bright lights. Hosts were very nice.

Dowdy Lake is such a beautiful campground. The fishing was really good and the lake is beautiful. Highly recommend bringing some sort of shade if you’re at lot 28. The rock formations in the lake were perfect for taking a break from paddle boarding as were the little islands. We are adding this place to our summer camping list and plan on going every year.

It does not seem fair that you charge a double site higher price but yet you get less electricity. A double site is an option for two trailers. I read it was 15 amp. But made the assumption there would be two 15 amp. There was only one and it was a 20 amp and a regular household plug. So we both had to go in to get adapters at the Ace store. Then the power kept tripping and yes, we know we can’t run everything at the same time. But there needs to be MUCH better descriptions in the reservation system about what is supplied in the double sites online.

Crappers were way too full! T-mobile service was good enough for basic texts, but not streaming (if that matters to you while camping).
