Campground is very nice. Located right along the Poudre River with lots of trees and shade through the campground. Our campsite was tidy and everything was in order when we arrived. The bathrooms (vault toilets) were very clean. The camp hosts were fantastic. Very nice and willing to share information about hiking and other activities in the area.

This was our first time to camp at Mountain Park. It was wonderful. Nice large camp spots, incredibly clean restrooms and super friendly camp hosts.

Great campground. We loved our campsite (Bear 09) and enjoyed the late summer weather.

This could have been a great camp site. The host was by far the most welcoming I have experienced in Colorado for the last 25 years.
Unfortunately I had to leave a day early after two nights. The noise on CO. HWY 14 was unbearable. Day and Night I listened to Livestock Simi Trucks hitting "Air Breaks" as they entered the canyon. I would wake up every couple of hours. It might have been quieter sleeping in a park in Fort Collins. The Recreation.gov did not indicate that the river was nearly inaccessible from this campground due to a 20' drop-off.

This was the best experience I had at a campground with vault toilets. Curt, who is the campground host was just great! He, and his crew, kept everything immaculately clean, well stocked, and pleasant smelling. He was friendly, outgoing and knowledgeable about the area and was a friendly face from sun up to late in the evening. The shower room was as clean as the toilet rooms and in good working order with plenty of hot water. The Pourdre valley is a wonderful place and the experience was made that much better by a wonderful campground host.

All was well until a family of 15 moved in next to us at nearly dusk & talked till 4:00 am. We advised them to check in with the Host for other sites, but not sure they did.

The campground was well maintained. Great campsites and unlike the last time we camped there (June) the bathrooms were always clean. We know it from camping there, but it might be helpful for new campers to have signage letting them know firewood is available from the campground host.

The trail that starts at the campground is very tough. It is NOT 2.0 miles and it is not easy.

As an avid camper we have been pleased with this campground on previous visits. However, our visit in August was worst camping experience ever. Never saw Mark the camphost except at his RV. Campground needed attention. Fire pit was over flowing, bear box had trash in it, and there as litter all over the campsite. What was worse was the unclean bathrooms and clogged drain in shower from all the hair on the drain. It was very apparent no one had been cleaning the campground yet there was a host on site. There was a group at the group site and we witnessed them picking up trash and sweeping the bathroom when they 1st arrived. Very unfavorable experience for many campers
