Mountain Park

The campground is well maintained. Mt. McConnel hike is beautiful but be ready for a steep climb for the first 2 mi and the downhill is also hard.

The host's were top notch. Bathrooms clean, vault so a little smelly. Showers were fine. The setting was beautiful. We were in 9 (electricity) . Good spot. Next will try 50 (no elec, but nice river side), 13, 9.

Our site 001 was right next to camp host and maybe the state park people, lots of Vehicles, campers, equipment. Not very eye appealing. The site was long enough, but very unlevel. We had to use several blocks under our tires & back up right up to the picnic table to get somewhat level. Otherwise it was a adequate spot. The park outhouses we used were spotless and didn't smell. We were at the beginning of the campground so it was quiet. Campground was clean. We would go back but not to that site.

We loved our stay at Mountain Park! It was nice being among the pines with trails to explore nearby or visiting the Poudre River on a warm day. The afternoon thunderstorms were a plus!!

Campsites and vault restrooms were clean and well maintained. There is a playground for kids. There are showers and sinks in the main restroom. The main roads are paved making it ideal for riding bikes. The downside the last 2 years has been the smoke from fires.

Beautiful area with the river between the spots and the highway. Showers available and restrooms very well maintained. The host was helpful and friendly.
