This is an amazing campground. We reserved Site 22 but camp hosts Dee and Dave were wonderful enough to point out first come first serve Site 17 that had more privacy and still had an electric hook up. We were within walking distance of the very clean vault toilets. And the coin operated shower house was right down the street. First time using a coin operated shower. It was so clean and super easy. 50 cents for 5 minutes. Firewood $7 bundle sold at camp hosts site. Ice can be 20 minutes east, down the road at the Buffalo Lodge Store.
The campground is super quiet and surrounded by the Poudre Canyon Mountains. Dee and Dave are amazing and super helpful. We will definitely be back. Our site was within walking distance of the Poudre River which you can hear roaring at night. Also hiked the Mt. McConnel Trail with the kids behind the campground. It was a challenging 4 hour hike but a good time. Saw a mule deer lounging on our trail 1/2 way up. Love love love this place.
You can fish for trout out of the river, catch and eat up to 4 even, but the river was very black and we didnβt get a single bite. There are areas near the river to swim or wade but itβs ice cold. Some people were even tubing up and down the river near the campground. Farther down you will see several river rafting outfits like Wanderlust Adventures Rafting. Very reputable raft company. Overall this is an amazing campground.

Hosts were very friendly and helped us find a new site. Enjoyed the drive up the Poudre Canyon with a stop at Glen Echo for pie and ice cream.

Very quiet campground. Very clean bathrooms. Lots of campsites but there is still some privacy at most sites. They really need to get the βout of orderβ sink working in the ladies bathroom.

The camp hosts were great. We like this location because itβs close to water and not a far drive from Fort Collins!
