We love Mountain Park and are repeat visitors. Nice option to arrange electric hook up or enjoy roughing it on the lower loop without hookups. We love being close to the river for relaxing with a book or fishing. The shower and vaulted restrooms are well maintained. There is a playground for children and horseshoe pits with available horseshoes.
If you don't want to cook down the canyons there are great burgers at Mishawaka Inn or up the canyon at Archers. Nice little gift shops at Glen Echo (they have a restaurant as well) or Archers. The is great hiking of all level up and down the canyon. One of my absolute favorites is Big South - it is beautiful and moderately difficultly.
If you are coming from out of the region be sure to take in Old Town Fort Collins, which has wonderful shops and restaurants and local craft brews (please be sure to have a designated driver) to keep driving Poudre Canyon safely).

Best camphost ever. Serene peaceful camp in the woods. Donna and Bill were helpful in every way.
Spotless bathroom facilities.

Our stay was ok at best. The spots are too close together which makes things hard. The neighbor next to us kept chain smoking and the smoke was blowing right into our spot. The people in the other adjacent spot kept staring at me while I nursed by baby - super creepy. It was also impossible to find the hosts (we found their spot - but never the people). We won’t visit again.

Park hosts were all very helpful and friendly. Other than a little problem adjusting to the altitude it was a wonderful stay and a great memory.

I love this park. There is hiking, fly-fishing, tubing, kayaking and so much more in Poudre Canyon. I have a special place in my heart for Poudre Canyon and this is a yearly destination for me for a few days of fly-fishing the Cache La Poudre River. Mountain Park is a great place to stay to go up or down the canyon, and even over the pass to other great destinations. The hosts are friendly and overall, campers are friendly and considerate.
