The campground is nice with plenty of space between the sites. Our site was level & didn't even need the orange blocks. The views are beautiful and the lake is small but great for a relaxing paddle around the water. What isn't great is the other campers who don't bother to leash their dogs. There is the rule that dogs have to be on a 6 ft leash but nobody enforces it. The camp host does nothing. After the dog next to my campsite charged me after I came out of our RV and I mentioned this to the camp host the next day, he told me that for anything to be done, your dog or yourself has to be hurt. This has become a more increasing problem over the last few years and it is time that the national and state parks start following what private campgrounds do. Allowing people to do whatever they want, and not following the dog leash laws, ruins the whole camping experience.

Getting There
From Fort Collins, take Highway 287 north approximately 24 mi to Livermore. Turn west on County Road 74 and continue 24 mi to the campground.

West Lake is accessible via Highway 287, which is approximately 24 miles to the east in Livermore.
Policies & Rules
General
- Drinking water is available until Sept. 30 each year. Sewer and water hookups are not available. Come with your RV/trailer water tank filled. Filling at campground hydrants cross-contaminates the system and is not allowed.
- This is bear country! For bear and human safety, keep a clean campsite and do not place food or other attractants in your tent. For more information about visiting bear country, contact Colorado Parks and Wildlife at http://wildlife.state.co.us
- Boating is restricted to small watercraft, powered by hand, wind or electric motors
- Off-road vehicles are prohibited within the campground

- Don't Move Firewood: Prevent the spread of tree-killing organisms by obtaining firewood at or near your destination and burning it on-site. For more information visit dontmovefirewood.org.
- All campsites must be occupied within 26 hours of the beginning of the reservation. If not present the site will be rented by first come first serve basis.
- EXTRA VEHICLE FEES: One vehicle is included in your reservation. Any additional vehicles will be charged $8.00 per vehicle per night and will be collected by the camphost. There is not a way to pay for extra vehicles when you make your reservation. One vehicle consists of one camper being towed by vehicle, or any other vehicle towed behind camper. One van or one truck with camper attached counts as one vehicle.
- Fire Restrictions: Fire restrictions may be imposed at any time due to hot, dry weather conditions, at which time campfires and charcoal fires may not be allowed.
- Tents must fit on the pads provided. RVs, trailers or other vehicles must fit on the parking spur. Driving or parking off road is not permitted. The parking length ranges from 35 to 80 feet.
- Modifications for this campground must be made through Recreation.gov PRIOR to your reservation start date. Customers and contact center agents cannot modify reservations on or after the check-in date.
