Everything you expect from good campsite. Clean site, clean bathrooms, helpful hosts. Trees nearby to hang hammocks and trail behind campsite to a viewpoint overlooking the mountains and reservoir (must see during sunset from this viewpoint).

Had a great time at the campground however the road from Pagosa Springs to the campground was severely washboarded. Several of our friends sustained damage to their trailers on the trip up. Hopefully the county will work on fixing the road before next year.

The 8 spots with water and sewer were mostly flat, close to the creek and all had a meadow view to boot! The one restroom I went in had a shine on the floor! Don't see that every day at the campground. Road there had some washboard so slow down. Plenty of hiking, fishing at the lake and views of the mountains.

Clean everywhere. Beautiful area. Can we find a way to get telephone service there? Hosts were wonderful and I hear this is their last year there. Hope you get at good next year.

This campsite was private and had a trail to access the creek. There a short and beautiful hike to the reservoir nearby too. I would definitely pick this spot again.

Excellent campground in a beautiful area. Lots of trees but lots of clear sky views too for those with solar panels. It’s about 45 minutes from town, so that may be a consideration for some, but I loved it. Hosts were friendly and helpful. And I discovered the cleanest pit toilet I’ve ever experienced! Truly, this is the new standard by which all others will be judged!

Getting There
From Pagosa Springs, turn north on Piedra Road (Forest Road 361.) Turn right at the intersection of FS 631 and FS 640, about 3 mi north of Bridge Campground. The entrance is approximately 1/2 mi from the junction.
Policies & Rules
Arrival & departure
- FCFS campsites are available and must be claimed in person; arrive early as phone availability is not provided.
Cancellation policy
- Reservation fees are non-refundable. For campsites, cabins, lookouts, yurts, group sites, and similar stays, we charge a reservation service fee of $8.
- Standard cancellations usually have a $10 cancellation fee. Customers can generally cancel before the check-in date online.
- Late cancellation rules differ by stay type.
- Individual campsites: cancelling after 12:00am local time the day before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- Cabins, lookouts, and yurts: cancelling less than 14 days before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- One-night reservations: a late cancellation usually forfeits the full amount paid, up to the total original reservation cost.
- Modifications are allowed before the cut-off window, but fees depend on the change. Changing to dates completely outside the original reservation dates may trigger a $10 change fee. Extending or shortening a stay that still includes original dates usually has no change fee, though refunds may depend on timing and facility rules. Switching to the same type of campsite for the same dates usually has no change fee, but price differences are charged or refunded.
- Early departures may or may not be refunded. At certain facilities, partial refunds may be possible if staff can mark the site available for other visitors. No refund is given for a night if the early departure is requested after that day's check-out time.
- Security deposits are separate. Security deposits may be refunded to the original payment method if the facility is left in acceptable condition, as determined by the property.
Fires & fuel
- Obtain firewood at or near your destination and burn it on-site to prevent tree-killing organisms.
