We had a lovely mid-week stay. We had been boondocking for a week and needed hook-ups. We reserved site 7 but when we arrived it was too sunny and too close to other campsites. We were able to move to site 6 which had some shade, closer proximity to the river and no one in our backyard. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay even though it was unseasonably warm. Would recommend.

Beautiful setting near the creek, quiet, generous campsite space. Vault toilet system is odor free, clean and well stocked by campground hosts. Recreation.gov could have more inclusive, clearer directions and map, I had to stop twice to get directions.

This is one of the most beautiful campgrounds I’ve seen. Just as important, it is absolutely the best maintained and clean one I’ve ever been to! The campsites are good-sized and not too crowded together.

Great camping area. The black powder dirt in the camp sites makes everything a mess. They need to gravel the sites.

The camping spot #10 was very nice. We camped with friends which had I believe 12 which was wonderful and spent most time there. The river was WONDERFUL and fishing was good!! The camp host was VERY FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL!!
The problem with the camping area is that there is NO connection to the outside world. And the road from Pagosa Springs is ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE!! It took us a little over an hour to get 17 miles!!
