What Guests Are Saying
Williams Creek Campground offers a beautiful and clean camping experience, with friendly hosts who maintain immaculate facilities, including the cleanest vault toilets many have ever encountered. Guests appreciate the serene atmosphere, stunning mountain views, and proximity to outdoor activities like hiking, fishing, and kayaking. While some mentioned minor issues like uneven picnic tables and road conditions, the overall consensus is that the campground is well-managed and a favorite destination for repeat visitors.

There was no water the first two days of our three day stay. The party in an adjacent site ran his generator at least six hours each day. Why do people come to the campground if they stay inside their RV much of the day?!?!? Are they watching TV? I think generators should be prohibited from running more than two hrs. daily. Better yet, designate 1/3 of the campsites for tents only and provide an “RV barrier zone”.

Williams Creek Reservoir and the campgrounds that surround it are just beautiful! They are also well managed and easy to book on Recreation.gov's website!

I had a site reserved for my second night’s stay that was different from the first night. I paid for both sites in advance but the camp host did not receive my second night reservation. He very kindly allows me to choose a site so all worked out for me but this type of glitch needs correction

While I had booked a spot at Williams, I moved up to Teal Campground up the road which has a first come first serve protocol and excellent lake access. Williams is a great campground. I have stayed there several times but always jonzed for a spot at Teal. I plan to stay at Williams in July. More shade!

Delightful site for a trailer. There is no cell phone coverage, but other than that it was excellent. The road into this group of sites needs some work.

Far drive on dirt road into campground. Lots of cows roaming on/off the road/in the area. Amazing views. Campground is very secluded and good spacing between sites. We stayed here with the intention of going to see the hot air balloons and go to the hot springs in Pagosa. Not too bad of a drive to/from Pagosa. Worth the trek out here. We visited with our 1 and 2 year olds and our dogs, and they all loved it.
