What Guests Are Saying
Cascade Campground in Colorado is praised for its stunning location, spacious and well-maintained campsites, and a friendly, helpful camp host. Visitors appreciate the beautiful views, especially during the fall, and the proximity to hiking trails and attractions like St. Elmo Ghost Town and Mt. Princeton Hot Springs. However, some guests noted issues with water availability and reservation challenges, as well as occasional road noise, which could impact the camping experience.

We enjoyed our stay at Cascade Campground. By far one of the most spectacular campsite we have had in 6 years of camping. We were in site 19 and it was perfect. Jake the host was helpful and provided assistance and guidance as needed. We went fly fishing at the lake, and across in the creek. The hike to Agnes Falls was gorgeous and not too difficult. We relaxed at the hot springs one afternoon. We suggest coming in with full water since the hand pump is really not an option.

Beautiful campground with nice trees and river. Peaceful in the evenings. One of my favorite campgrounds. The only problem I had this year was the road had more potholes. When you have an RV it's not like you can avoid them.

Loved our first time experience here! Probably one of the best campgrounds we've stayed at. Spacious and private sites, super clean restrooms, and a friendly but not intrusive campground host. We stayed in #15 which where we could hear the roar of Chalk Creek and hardly noticed any car noise. There is a trail from the east end of the campground that almost connects to the Narrow Gauge trail , but be careful, we almost lost our dog who got out of her harness and into the road when descending down the short but steep part of the trail - then it's a short walk to the Narrow Gauge (along the road). Lots of forest to walk the dogs as well. Some sites had circular "forts" made of the many rocks in the area - amazing fun for kids. Would absolutely stay again if we can get in!

Overall the campground and our campsite are great. BUT on this trip all the toilets were full and needed to be emptied. The campground host was not available for us when we arrived on Thursday through our departure on Sunday. As this was Labor Day weekend, seems there should have been a host on site.
