The host was the finest we’ve ever experienced in any type of campground. He is helpful and extremely customer oriented.
Our site #3 was beautiful and spotless. We will book there as often as possible.

Overall this was a really nice experience. Each campsite was far enough from the others that no one felt crowded. It was managed extremely well by the friendly camp host. Only a few steps from a lovely stream for a nice walk.

Great site along Chalk Creek, great location to explore the many outdoor activities the Collegiate Peaks have to offer. Great location to take advantage of the several hot springs in the area. Mt Princeton Hot Springs has been our family favorite. Very close to BV and Salida.
Now that Cotton Wood Pass is open, Taylor Reservoir is accessible. The old mining town of St Elmo is just a short drive up Chalk Creek Canyon, and if you hit the right days in late September the fall colors are spectacular with the numerous aspen groves and Cotton Wood trees.

Everything about this site was perfect. There was a very nice tent pad and being able to fall asleep listening to the nearby creek was ideal. This was definitely one of our favorite spots!

The host made all the difference regarding upkeep of the campground.

Came back the following week and having reservations makes a difference too. Host was no longer there and restroom stalls odor stinks a little bit more.

Location is great. Great place for family to explore the area.
