What Guests Are Saying
Dumont Campground is praised for its stunning scenery, excellent hiking, and proximity to Dumont Lake, making it ideal for outdoor activities like paddleboarding and biking. The campground is clean, well-maintained, and offers large, private sites, although some are not level and may require leveling blocks. While there are challenges such as a lack of drinking water and significant mosquito presence, the overall atmosphere and beautiful wildflowers contribute to a positive camping experience.

Clean restrooms. Incredible scenery. But big caution -- bring your own drinking water - the water system has been broken for several years.

The campground is in a very good location being very near Dumont Lake, but is in dire need of updating as the campsites are primitive with very old picnic tables and fire rings.

Always enjoy the wildflowers and quiet camping. No water available and trash cans were locked. This information would have been helpful with the reservation confirmation.

One of the prettiest campgrounds we’ve stayed at in Colorado. The spaces are spread out so lots of privacy. There are a lot of things to do at the campground - paddleboarding, biking and hiking. Also, bonus there’s cell service. Only downside was the mosquitos as there’s a lot of standing water in the campground.

I give the site 5 stars because it’s huge (we fit two campers in it), right by a hiking trail, bathrooms, and a short walk to the lake. You feel secluded back in the forest in this site and it’s right by a field of wildflowers with pretty views!
The mosquitoes are TERRIBLE! I’ve never seen anything like it in my life and I used to live in Florida. We’ve been over Labor Day weekend and didn’t have that problem, so I would absolutely not go here in the middle of summer. The relentless swarms of mosquitoes make it miserable! Our family of 4 is covered in mosquito bites.

Love the campground, clean toilets and atmosphere, Spot #19 was not even close to level. Slope was
so steep couldn't level the 26' trailer. Tongue to the ground and still not right...Description should be
available when booking in order to be aware.
