One of the most beautiful campgrounds I've ever stayed at. The wildflowers were popping and there was a family of foxes providing lots of entertainment. No potable water when I was there, but still a lovely campsite!

Campsite was far from level, campsite drive was overgrown with vegetation and mosquitoes were fierce. We abandoned the campsite and stayed elsewhere. I have stayed at this campground in years past and enjoyed it, but we will not return. Sorry I could not give a lower rating.

This is my favorite campsite. Its just beautiful the I love walking early in the morning. Just seeing the open land wood flowers. A cup of coffee will warm you for your walk.

Remote, quiet, old style boon docking, with fine access, updated pit toilets, space between campsites, some campsites are level, many not so much. View is great, saw mamma moose with calf,

Fabulous place. Good hiking right out of the campground. The flowers are gorgeous and a very nice lake. However, the driveways are not even close to level. There were 3 families in our group. We all had incredible difficulty leveling our RVs. Mine got close, but using every block I had, I still couldn't get it level.

Getting There
From Steamboat Springs, Colorado, travel 22 mi southeast on U.S. Highway 40/Rabbit Ears Pass. Turn left on Forest Road 315 at the Dumont Campground sign. The campground is located about a mile from the highway.

- This is a high elevation facility; please use caution when traveling from lower elevations
