What Guests Are Saying

Seedhouse Campground is praised for its excellent location near backcountry trails, clean facilities, and quiet atmosphere, making it a relaxing spot for campers. While some sites lack shade and there are occasional issues with wildlife, including bear activity and flies, many visitors enjoyed the privacy and space between campsites. The campground offers great access to fishing and hiking, though cell service is unavailable and some areas may be difficult to reach.

Campground was quiet and not busy - in fact so quiet that a bear came to the site while cooking breakfast and got into the food. The bear had no fear of us so be aware of bear activity in the area.

Nice campground. Basic. A few really nice sites, and some with no shade. A bear got into site 14 while we were there.

Quiet and well spaced and private sites. Clean bathrooms and water was a bonus. We had a great night and backpacked in the zirkel wilderness the next night. Def recommend this area!

We love this area, and the campground. However, a few things to consider - there are only a few spots that really can accommodate a camper/rv trailer, even a small 17' like ours. Most of the sites are better suited for car/tent camping. Though the North Fork of the Elk River is close, it's not easily accessible. Some of the access is very steep, and there is a lot of downed trees blocking access. There are many great trails close by.

We stayed at Seedhouse on Labor Day weekend at site 006. 006 was a great location and felt private with ample space between our site and others. There was no campsites behind us and you could hear the river. We had deer walk through our campsite which was also pretty cool. The site did not have much shade (which we knew coming in and planned for accordingly). There were a few hiking trails walkable from the campsite as well.

Extremely clean restrooms and close proximity to some nice trails. The campground felt a bit congested with small sites but it ended up being pretty quiet. No cell service in this whole area.
