What Guests Are Saying

Seedhouse Campground is praised for its excellent location near backcountry trails, clean facilities, and quiet atmosphere, making it a relaxing spot for campers. While some sites lack shade and there are occasional issues with wildlife, including bear activity and flies, many visitors enjoyed the privacy and space between campsites. The campground offers great access to fishing and hiking, though cell service is unavailable and some areas may be difficult to reach.

The campground was nice, very few other users. The main problem is that there was no water available (July 16!) -don't know what the reason was. Now, we had enough spare water that we did not really need some, but we are paying for a campground for water and toilets and it would have been nice to have those available, in particular water. Our kids (8 and 10 yrs old) loved to play at the river. The site was quiet. We watched stars at night. We had a great time.

Beautiful, remote location! We enjoyed hiking in Mt. Zirkel Wilderness and exploring the Elk River Corridor.

Best campground in Colorado! We typically do dispersed camping but we hit up Seedhouse once a year because of its setting! It’s quiet and we love the river, hiking and easy 4x4ing on the bumpy gravel roads past the campground.

The host was very friendly. We had a great time hiking in the mountains nearby. Be sure to take warm sleeping bags or blankets. One morning it was cold in July.

Great location near a river, deer coming into campground frequently, very remote, but extremely rough gravel road to get in for a few miles, creating a lot of dust.
