Steve the campground host was awesome. I was having some problems and he was eager to help and lent me some wood to help stabilize my trailer. The campsite was clean, secluded, and close to the trailhead.

This a great campground, unfortunately iwhile we were there it was overrun with Atvs and inconsiderate campers running their generators all night long.

Rocky Mtn Recreation is not maintaining this campground all that well. Every pit toilet was near full and some sites need attention. The trees in the equestrian area are overgrown and need trimming. Regardless, we like this CG and will likely return.

Great camp host and access to alpine lakes via nearby trails. The campsites have a good amount of space between them and I plan to return.

The best campground in the area. The spaces are spacious and the whole campground is very clean. This is by far our favorite place to go!

Very clean park. But beware units 44-46 because it’s all up hill to your walk in site.

Alvarado is one of our favorite campgrounds. The sites are well laid out and the Camp Host makes sure you have all of your questions answered. Sites range from easy to park RV sites to secluded tent sites.

Well kept campground near great hiking trails. Lower sites have improved level tent pads. Upper sites have better views but rougher terrain for campers/trailers and tents. Good host which is reflected in clean sites, restrooms. We camped for 3 nights in the middle of the week. Several unoccupied campsites in the lower part of the campground. It's not a remote area due to summer cabins bordering the campground but still a nice getaway.
