came here for two nights to get away from the city. it rained every day, but we still had a great time. the host went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. all the other campers were respectful, and the grounds are well-appointed with restrooms, spigots (sign at the entrance says "don't drink the water" - not sure if that's a year-round thing, though), and trash receptacles. i was surprised that there did not seem to be food storage boxes at this campground. perhaps they will be added later, but for now, be aware you have to keep your food items in your car or hang them for bear safety.

We love camping at Alvarado campground. The only complaint is the speed in the campground, very very few people drive the speed limit causing lot of dust and hazardous conditions for the small children playing around the campground & using the bathrooms

Very peaceful campground. Stunning views all around. Privacy as well. We had to move our tent to a flatter spot near our car because our site was on a hill but no complaints, everything was great! Would stay at the campground again.

Love the campground, but all the water spigots were off. They really should place a notification on their website so you know in advance.

Site 37 is quite literally the worst site in the campground. Uneven, overgrown, no real obvious place to put a tent, or anything else really. The parking for the site also leaves much to be desired for anything larger than a small SUV. This site either needs to be overhauled or removed. Luckily we were able to work with the camp host and find an open site that wasn't reserved for the time we were there. Otherwise, our time at the campsite was amazing. Will definitely make another trip here.
