This is one of the best campsites we have stayed at in from a landscape standpoint. Abundant trees and stream running through campground. Most sites are very spread out and the facilities are clean. Great camp host. Trips to Bishops Castle and in town to Westcliffe are ways to spend time away from camp if you’re looking for options for the less woodsy family members.

Beautifully spaced sites, close to a flowing creek, and a short distance from the Rainbow trail for hiking.
People in town are friendly and there’s two great choices in Westcliffe for ice cream when the afternoons get too hot.

It’s a beautiful campground and the trail systems coming out of it are awesome. The bathroom was kept very clean.

During the covid-19 pandemic a bathroom infested with flies- I mean swarmed with them, is unacceptable. Flies spread diseases and the fact the septic was filled to the brim made it even more unhealthy. As beautiful as the location was, the facilities made it almost null out. Not to mention the people who go there lack the respect, because in the septic was full of beer cans. Was quite sad.

Our camp host was wonderful, our reserved site had a dip at the entry that made it inaccessible for us. We were provided with a nice accessible site.
