Bathrooms were always clean, campgrounds were nicely set up with plenty of space, camp hosts were accommodating, lots of hiking walking distance from the campground, and the stars were amazing.

Campsite 33 was great! We were close to the bathrooms without being right next to them. Deer walked around the campsite. The campsite hosts were super nice and helpful. Within the campground, there was a path that led to the Comanche trail head. It advertises that there is no trash dump on site, but there were several trash dump sites in the campground. Overall it was a great experience, and we will be coming back in the future!

Beautiful campground. Hosts were gracious, pit toilets very clean. Only thing I heard at night was the creek flowing through the campground. Very close to some great trails. I will come back again.

From Westcliffe, CO, take State Route 69 south 3 mi to the campground sign (County Road 140). Turn right and go 1.8 mi to the stop sign. Continue straight through the stop sign for 2.8 mi until you hit another stop sign (RD 141). Turn left onto RD...
From Westcliffe, CO, take State Route 69 south 3 mi to the campground sign (County Road 140). Turn right and go 1.8 mi to the stop sign. Continue straight through the stop sign for 2.8 mi until you hit another stop sign (RD 141). Turn left onto RD 141 and continue 2.1 mi to campground.
(Note: RD 141 becomes dirt/gravel after 0.4 mi.)
