It is a beautiful campground with lots of aspen and conifer trees. Many hiking trails are accessible directly from the campground. The sites have a good amount of space between them. Our site (17) had a level space for a 26 ft trailer and plenty of room for the truck in front of the trailer. It had few trees above the trailer so that the solar panels on the roof were in the sun most of the day.

Stayed in site 45. Thought we would have a meaningful walk up from the parking area, but that was not so. Nice site albeit right across the road from a set of bathrooms, which is a plus and a minus in my book. Thankfully the site hosts came by and cleaned them a few times a day. Bear boxes, yes two, were huge and clean. Having potable water nearby, at the corner of the parking area, was great. Finding a good level spot for the second tent was a small issue. Lots of trails nearby, just be ready for the elevation as everything that leaves the area goes up! Star gazing on clear nights was amazing.

It's quite a nice campground, with spots evenly spaced. Very green, with an abundance of wildflowers. Clean vaulted bathrooms. I'd sure like it EVEN BETTER if it had electricity!

Sites are well spaced apart with plenty of trees. Quiet and peaceful. Bathrooms clean. Great hiking trails within walking distance

Beautiful location. Hosts were very nice and kept the entire campground very clean.

From Westcliffe, CO, take State Route 69 south 3 mi to the campground sign (County Road 140). Turn right and go 1.8 mi to the stop sign. Continue straight through the stop sign for 2.8 mi until you hit another stop sign (RD 141). Turn left onto RD...
From Westcliffe, CO, take State Route 69 south 3 mi to the campground sign (County Road 140). Turn right and go 1.8 mi to the stop sign. Continue straight through the stop sign for 2.8 mi until you hit another stop sign (RD 141). Turn left onto RD 141 and continue 2.1 mi to campground.
(Note: RD 141 becomes dirt/gravel after 0.4 mi.)

- Campground limits: 8 people per site, with options for 2 tents and 2 vehicles or 1 RV.

- Only certified weed-free hay is allowed at the campground.

- Electric hookups are not provided at this campground.
- Campsites are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
