The site #8 I think, has a very large stump in the center of the campsite. It is a nesting site for yellow jackets! Right in the center of the campsite!
Otherwise…excellent! Nice trails, clean bathrooms.

A very small campground with just a handful of W/E sites. We enjoyed our stay and site 4 was great.

I enjoyed the stay. Nice place to camp. Two things though. I was in # 13 which was directly across from the playground which was noisy with the little kids screaming. The second was l had a small very quiet generator. The first night no one bothered me but the second night a security guard came knocking at my camper at 10:00 pm telling me to shut off my generator after 10:00pm. Nowhere did l read that generators had to be shut off in the summer at 10:00 pm.

Very nice small campground, shady level spots. Although it is close to a lake, there was no swimming due to water quality. If this is improved, this would become a favorite spot. Although boating was allowed, we did not feel comfortable doing so. Nice trails around the area, and frisbee golf, and basketball courts. Park employees/volunteers were very nice, bathrooms clean, showers hot.

Great stay! Small well maintained campground. Our site had been raked prior to our arrival. Check in by the host was quick and easy. He had great information to share about the campground and surrounding trails. We were in site 5 with water and electricity 30/50 amp service.

Pleasantly surprised at the newly leveled, graveled, and upgraded site 3. Looks like site 4 got the same; rates are wildly affordable; bathhouse is clean and wood is cheap at $5 a (big) bucket onsite. Campground hosts were friendly, knowledgable and patrolled frequently. Great campers - quiet campground - good hiking paths around the woods and reservoir (disappointed at trash at the waterfront). Looking forward to returning to this USACE park!
