Upon meeting the host on arrival, we knew we had a nice camp spot coming. Great advice and nice wood selection. Camp 8 was perfect, clean and real quiet. Checked out the boat launch and everything was operational. State park near by was for swimming. Camp had some great trails. Met some real nice people during the week. Will return soon !! Thanks to both the Host camper families, they really care about the place.

We love this campground. It is clean, well maintained and quiet with friendly and helpful hosts. It has clean bathrooms and plenty of hot water for showers. The hiking trails are beautiful. The dog usually finds a frisbee left behind by a disc golfer, so he’s happy, too. The only downside is that there is no swimming.

Definitely exceeded my expectations
Beautiful area. The campground is very well maintained and managed. The bath house even had a hot shower. The host was friendly and was on duty until 9:00 pm. Nice walk down to the lake and even saw a deer on the way.

This is a great Campground. My only complaint is that the campground closes to early in the season. We would love to be able to camp here in the fall.

Very modern campground. The campsite was a large flat area with good drainage (No puddling, even in heavy rain.), and fire pits, level well, anchored securely to ground, very easy to adjust .
The restrooms were central to everyone, clean, brushed stainless steel fixture, self flushing toilets and urinals, showers had good sized floor area with no puddles and bench with plenty of clothing wall hooks above, and great ventilation with a large central ceiling fan.
Some of the straightest, tallest, hardwood hardwood trees I have ever seen. Every tree had a single trunk that went straight up 60 to 70 branchless feet before splitting of into many branches at the top to form a dense canopy.
Quiet campground at night due to driving restrictions during late hours. Many nice trails around lake with surprising wildlife. Great Lake for small watercraft.
