Great quiet campground with space between sites. Hiking trails right from the campsite. Easy hook ups and well maintained. Hosts were friendly and helpful.

This a beautiful, small camping area. The hosts were very helpful. I enjoyed the hiking trails, the well priced firewood and, of course, the peace and quiet. The bathroom was clean, well ventilated and modern. The shower was free and had ample hot water.
My only reservation is that there is no swimming in the lake now. Had I brought my kayak, I could have used that in the lake. I found a great Thai restaurant in Putnam. And good ice cream in Thompson. I did not visit the state park where I might have gone swimming. Other than that, this is the quiet corner of CT. It is very relaxing.

Enjoyed 2 weeknights at the campground as my first visit. The campground itself is quite small with only 22 sites on a loop. Sites are on smaller size but my site (13) was perfect for our needs. Exceptionally clean property, especially the bathrooms! I took a long hot shower in a private stall with a real door! Nice playscape for kids but saw only adults during my stay. Walked down to the lake and sat for a spell. Too bad no swimming allowed at location :( so we traveled to check out the local park that did. Visited brewery in neighboring Putnam with quant restaurants and unique shops. Plenty of dining options nearby and we loved the local diner! Great value and good food. We will return to this campground often! Camp hosts were terrific! Firewood is a bargain!

Difficult this year with modified Covid restrictions still in place. Finding an open spot was difficult with using the campground site first and then immediately reserving through www.Recreation.gov. Had to continually watch the Campground site for weeks waiting for something to open up. The guest hosts at the campground were wonderful, helpful and friendly. They made our stay enjoyable.
