We loved the spring and enjoyed renting a canoe to paddle the beautiful and clear river. Only possible downside was the noisy couple next door who argued a lot. Not the campground's fault though.

Someone decided to make all sites reseravable which means when your traveling you can not get a site on weekends. Bring back the walk us and FF. Nothing available on weekends.
The new Ocala Adventure group are very nice. Prices went up, store still not open, trail still closed, beach area looks terrible. To much time with noise polluting leave blowers on the roads & pads. Dragging the beach and a rake would do wonders. Thank you

The roads are very narrow and tight curves. Site 26 is nice, although I do not believe the length of the black top is as long as stated. 30 foot class C, car dolly, and no room to park our Honda Civic. Luckily it was not crowded and the rest room parking has a spot near by. The site black top is very narrow and is maybe a 10" drop to the dirt. The palmettos are overhanging a couple of feet. They were smashed against the side of the camper making access to the compartments very hard. The park employees are very persistent on warning guest not to get your vehicle wheels off of the black top stating if the DNR comes through the will give you a $250 for each wheel fine. The site was clean and roomy with a picnic table, fire ring, and secure bear box for food. The rest rooms were clean. We did not use the showers. Speaking of not crowded. I was surprised to see so many empty spots as when I made the reservation there were only two sites open. We are pretty new to all this, and I find this curious. I have seen the same issue at state parks. The park was very clean. The concession was not open, and does not look to be opening any time soon. The trails/boardwalk were also closed with no signs of opening soon. I was curious, and checked out the board walk to see why it was closed. I found that the wooden structure supporting it is very unstable, and a good reason it is closed. It is unsafe. We visited Juniper Springs also while in the area and found the trial/board walk and concession also closed. I feel the park fees are a little steep, but if you have the America All Access pass there is 50% off entrance and camping everything else is full price. Bottom line, the park is nice, but in need of major repairs. The staff was courteous. Yes, we would stay again.

this is one of our favorite locations. The spring, the river with the canoes and the trails for bikes are amazing. The bathrooms need some work. In any case love the place.
