Our campsite (37) was right by the road and we heard big work trucks driving behind our tent ALL night. We liked our site other than that- great size and location, just wish we would have known about the road noise. The neighbors were also blaring their music til 2am and I know everyone heard it, so having the camp host take care of the noice curfew would have been helpful.

Great staff, wonderful canoeing and swimming, beautiful shaded sites. Some sites are more big rig friendly than others. This is a popular campground so it can get noisy at times. Kids on bikes, etc. If you want peace and quiet, this may not be for you. We loved it, despite the unruly kids.

The campground was real nice however we were so disappointed that we could not go on the cat walk due to rotting boards. That is was the one thing that drew us to Alexander Springs. It is a shame that the youth of today won't get to experience going back in time as to what old Florida was. I can't believe there is no money for the restoration, all you probably need is to buy the material and there would be a vast number of groups willing to donate their time to build it back. It is sad to see it go by the wayside.
