I hate to rate it at 3 stars and I only do so because of our experience with the volunteer that was in charge the day we left. She appeared to be the type when told, you are in charge she gets a little overzealous with her authority. Maybe they could screen the volunteers a little better? As we were packing up to leave I was having issues with the tongue jack. I ask the wife to let them know at the gate that we were having issues and may be delayed in our departure. The wife went to the lady at the gate booth to explain we were having some issues and immediately she barked at my wife “I Don’t care you have to be out in one hour. My wife tried to ask her what we were to do if we could not get it fixed and again she said she didn’t care that it was out problem and she was going to report us to the ranger. By the time the ranger arrived I had it fixed and we were hooked up and ready to go. I explained the issue and he could not have been nicer. The volunteer told him that my wife had gotten rude with her. All the wife said to her was that she did not have to be nasty that we were doing the best we could and maybe a little understanding and empathy might be in store rather than being rude. We love this place and we won’t let one power hungry volunteer ruin it for us. We will wait for her term to be up before we go back. As I said the ranger could not have been nicer and more understanding of our situation and he agreed that she should have been more empathetic of our situation and she should not have said that “she did not care”. We were definitely caught of guard by her response and lack of understanding.
