W.P. Franklin campground is highly praised for its cleanliness, well-maintained facilities, and friendly staff, making it a favorite for many visitors. The serene river surroundings and well-spaced sites offer a relaxing atmosphere for fishing and enjoying nature. However, concerns about excessive speed bumps and some strict monitoring by hosts were noted, with suggestions for improvement on these aspects.

This was our first experience using recreation.gov and this location did not disappoint.
We managed to escape the cold snap in North Georgia and this was the perfect peaceful getaway to spend Christmas.
We will certainly be looking forward to staying here again.

Mike (the camp host) was very helpful. The park is beautiful, it is situated in a quiet rural residential area. Most every campsite is on the water. The fishing pier is just steps away, as well as a boat launch. I would definitely recommend this park.
