Great lakeside campsite with water and 30amp service. Paved drive, picnic table and fire ring, all very nice. Large trees, great trails, great campground hosts. Early in season, so we didn't use the beach, but very nice too.

Great scenery, quiet, and great volunteer hosts. This is a true wilderness camping experience with all the comforts like water and power and a level site. Road into campground needs a little attention though.

Very small campground but very nice. All the camp hosts were great. Some hiking trails come right up to the campground. Clean bathrooms with hot water. Last 2 miles driving in a little rough, just have to take your time. About one hour drive to St George Island. Beautiful beach. Only negative no dump station.

This was my first experience traveling in my camper and I decided to boondock. I can honestly say that I was truly blessed to have a camp host, Rick, on duty while I was at Camel Lake. He could not have been more helpful with all kinds of tips and tricks to help a newbie such as myself. He even installed a second battery in my camper for me and assisted with hooking up and unhooking the camper on the day of departure. Besides the hosts, the actual site is beautiful, super peaceful and a wonderful place to get away from the hustle and bustle. Highly recommend this campground.

We had a beautiful spot right next to the lake! Awesome sunsets! The bathhouse was clean but had no heat in the shower area, so super cold when we needed a shower before leaving. Nice trail around the lake for a quick pre-dinner hike.

A very nice, small, lake side campground. We took a nice hike around the lake and counted the little plastic Gnomes that the camp Host had hidden along the path. We had fun and we didn't even have grand children with us (LOL).
Both camp hosts were very friendly.
The only down side was the very rough road getting into the campground.
