What a little gem! Such a peaceful place. Stayed five nights tent camping during Thanksgiving. It was really quiet until gun season started on Thanksgiving Day, but that comes with sharing the woods I guess.
One stall for toilet and one stall for a shower (separate for men and women). Campground hosts were really friendly and kept everything clean! We will definitely return!

The campground is on the lake and beautiful. I do wish there was more than 1 toliet but the campground was mostly empty, so it was not a problem. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. Canoeing in that area is wonderful! We saw bald eagles, river otters, gators and much more.

Our family had an incredible weekend at Camel Lake. It was breathtakingly beautiful, quiet, and serene, Just what we needed. Campsites are huge, and most are private. Camp hosts are accommodating and so kind. The bathrooms were spotless! We hiked about a TON; there are lots of trails to explore in addition to the mile loop, including the Florida trail in and back for a bit. We will return hopefully very soon!

Friendly staff, easy check-in (just drive to the spot you reserved). Hot showers are a plus!

This forest area is very beautiful and remote. When I visited the park it was very rainy and wet, so I did not get to enjoy the lake like I would have wished. This is a small park with only 4 (1 through 4) water and electric spaces. The spaces are relatively level and large enough to accommodate most campers. I was the only camper in the park when I stayed there (doe to the weather and time of the year). The camp hosts were very nice and checked in on me several times. The shower and restrooms were clean and well kept. The only downside to this park is that it is buggy (I visited in early September).

This was the most beautiful view I have ever had camping in Florida. For a remote campground this place was immaculate. No trash at all, very clean bathrooms, well mowed and cleared campsites. The hosts were perfect. Greeted us when we arrived and made themselves available to us if we needed anything but were not over bearing or intrusive. Yes the road getting in was bouncy especially pulling a popup, but not a big deal. Honestly the reviews had me scared going in but it was not that bad. We were there in late August and the bugs were not bad at all. Very secluded and private and no date or Wi-Fi service but were were able to call and text from our campsite. We were able to get some service on the dirt road so we could pull up directions and such, but most of the forest is no service. Gas station 6 miles up the road had wi-fi. I am an avid camper and Florida traveler and I would say this was the best camping experience I have ever had as far as feeling like you are really in the forest but still have some comforts such as electric and bathrooms. Cant wait to go back!!!

Small campground, 10 sites, I think only 4 with water & electric. 50 & 30 amp. Sites are nicely spaced out with plenty of shade. We had one right on the lake with a huge backyard. Good fishing. Very nice hiking with a loop around the lake and access to Florida Trail. Be aware small alligators in lake. 2 mile dirt road in but no problem if you take it slow. Hosts were great and do a good job keeping it nice. We camped at Camel Lake Campground in a Motorhome.
