Ortona South Campground is praised for its beautiful location, cleanliness, and friendly, helpful staff, creating a peaceful atmosphere for visitors. Many campers enjoy watching the boats and wildlife, with stunning sunrises and sunsets enhancing their experience. This was our first trip out in our recently purchased, 22 year-old RV, and the staff were understanding and helpful. We had a great stay and we left with restored souls. Both Carol and I should now be good for at least, the next few months of "rat race". We had less issues with the old, under-used RV than we planned on, which is a big 'plus'. I look forward to revisiting Ortona South soon.

We had a great time! The camp hosts put on a little get together on Christmas Eve day that brought campers together! We also were able to watch the otters playing in the creek

Love this campground and this was a return trip for us. Always so clean and well maintained. Very friendly and industrious pair of hosts. Love the sites being right on the waterway. We will certainly be back again!

It was a place to park, I did not consider it much fun, but parking my camper van on concrete was good, all thou you have to deal with walking on rocks, which I thought was not very camp feeling vibe. there was grass lining my campsite, I set my rug and chair on the grass, but then I felt like I was not part of my camp.
