Lovely campground right on the banks of the locks. It was windier in the east loop than the west loop while we were there. There was also a precautionary advisement to boil water posted on the restroom door but no mention of it at check-in. When I inquired later, the camp host was a bit snarky in answering my questions. I was simply looking for additional information and I ultimately received it, but I felt that I was irritating him by asking, so that was a bummer. Otherwise, a really nice trip!

Very nice COE on the Caloosahatchee. Even most of the sites with no waterfront view have a nice view of the Florida prairie adjacent to the campground. There were an abundant variety of birds to watch and it looked like those fishing on the pier and near the locks were having a good time.

The lock and dam/spillway reminds me of back home in NYS. Concrete drive is a huge plus are the covered picnic tables. Very nice landscaping. Quiet smaller campground

In a beautiful setting. Clean and well maintained. Space between sites. Staff was helpful. Easy access to lock to watch boats. Only drawback was road to campground was dusty and bumpy. Lots of dump trucks. Once inside gate, no problem.

This was our 3rd stay. A very relaxing campground. We enjoyed watching boats going through the lock, alligators, deer and birds. We stayed in site 1. The spillway and open land are your backyard and canal and lock are your front!
