What Guests Are Saying
Midway Campground offers a peaceful and well-maintained environment with clean facilities and friendly hosts, making it an ideal stop for exploring the Everglades and Big Cypress areas. Campers appreciate the privacy of the spacious sites, easy access to hiking trails, and the campground's cleanliness. However, there are some limitations, including a lack of showers and minimal cell service, as well as a need for better signage to ensure safety and compliance with campground rules.

We aways make a stop at Midway whenever in Florida. We are never disappointed. The camp hosts Lola, Pete, Debbie, and Troy do a great job. It rained a bit more this trip but hey they needed the rain to help prevent more wild fires. One storm knocked out power on Rt 41 for miles one afternoon. Some days the campground was full and other days there were only 5-7 of us there. First time we had a Starlink with us. Sure comes in handy out here.

The sites are very nice and lots of privacy. The campground was also pretty empty when we were there making it even more private. There are some hiking trails right from the campground. Where you are in the middle of the Everglades, there is easy access to lots of things in the national park.

Midway Campground is a magical Campground in the middle of the Everglades.. We always stay on our way to the Keys.. We discovered beautiful dragonflies all situated on a crystal clear lake.

There is a need of a Stop Sign entering the campground coming from West like the one coming from East. Cars get off Tamiami Hwy 41 and enter the Campground to fast while kids are playing.
