What Guests Are Saying
Midway Campground offers a peaceful and well-maintained environment with clean facilities and friendly hosts, making it an ideal stop for exploring the Everglades and Big Cypress areas. Campers appreciate the privacy of the spacious sites, easy access to hiking trails, and the campground's cleanliness. However, there are some limitations, including a lack of showers and minimal cell service, as well as a need for better signage to ensure safety and compliance with campground rules.

We were met with the Host as we pulled in. She was friendly and informative. The park was clean and well maintained. A great place for a stopover traveling through the Everglades

It was a nice campsite and campground. Acting Host that greeted us was friendly and helpful, provided useful information. Just understand and know, in the Everglades, there is no internet or cell service. There are little towns around where you can eat, also lots of tourist activities, fan boat rides, swamp tours, a Visitor's Center with gator viewing, a loop road to drive in the wild, etc

No showers, one central water spigot for the entire campground. One bathroom with 2 toilets for the entire campground, with no sewer or water on the sites, it would have been best to at least have a sink facility for dishes. The campground was spotless with a great location, electric on all sites, and very level sites with plenty of pavement.

The Big Cypress area is known for its dark skies, but unfortunately this campground has electric sites so a number of the RVers think their site should be lit up like Times Square. If you're seeking a relatively dark location to observe the heavens, then this campground is not the place for you.
The campground also has a number of tent sites, but there is not a utility sink for washing dishes. I presume tent campers are expected to dump their dish washing water on the ground as there was a bathroom-posting stating dishes were not to be washed there.
