Very quite. You can hear some noise from the road but not to bad. Make sure you have alot of bug spray. There is a gator that lives in the water so watch your kids and pups. Its about 30 min to Miami. Great place to get away. There is none to little internet access. They have a bathroom but no showers. No water or sewer hookups.

The caretakers at the campground were extremely helpful even though it really wasn't there job to check us in she helped us with the internet. The grounds were beautiful and so well kept love that place will be stopping on our way home from the keys

I wish more NPS campgrounds would stay open during the summer. The Midway campground is not convenient to any shopping to replenish supplies. Still it is spacious, has great tent sites and was bug free in early June. I prefer to park my 12 foot trailer in tent sites since I do not need water or power connections. Well maintained. The grass is always cut and restrooms clean. Great hosts and volunteer staff in Big Cypress and the Everglades.

It’s a very nice campground in the middle of nowhere. The units are paved and levelled. It’s perfect for one night stay if you visit the mangroves around or if you travel from coast to coast.
