What Guests Are Saying
Midway Campground offers a peaceful and well-maintained environment with clean facilities and friendly hosts, making it an ideal stop for exploring the Everglades and Big Cypress areas. Campers appreciate the privacy of the spacious sites, easy access to hiking trails, and the campground's cleanliness. However, there are some limitations, including a lack of showers and minimal cell service, as well as a need for better signage to ensure safety and compliance with campground rules.

The campground was very clean and the sites very accessible. We were greeted by the campground host, who was wonderful. She was very helpful in telling us about attractions and things-to-do nearby, as the campground really has nothing other than campsites to offer. We did a day trip to the Shark Valley Hiking Trail in the Everglades National Park, which was very worthwhile. Note that there are no showers at this campground.

Host never responded when I tried to sign in. Went to site and they never checked that I was in my designated site. He talked to the guy next to me, but never to me. No posting or told by host of ranger program at the campgrounds. Found it by accident when I was out for a walk. Ranger program was definitely worth attending based on the second half that I was present for.

This has been the most friendly campground that I have ever visited. Shout out to Lola and Penny , hosts who made my stay so much more interesting and fun. The friendly and interesting folks made the shower absence unnoticeable.

Excellent hidden very small campground. It appears to us that many of the campers are people who have been here before. Thereβs no services other than your 30 amp. You can get potable water and flush your tank on the way out of the campground. The bathrooms were clean and well cared for as were the grounds. Please be aware there are no showers here and very very limited cell service if you want a nice quiet dark spot with a few neighbors this is a great campground and I would recommend it.

Nice campground in the middle of Big Cypress. Electric hookups at each site. No water hookups, but water available. There is a bathroom, but no showers. There is also a dump station. Bring what you need, there is nothing around.

This campground has become one of my favorites. The host(s) are awesome and kind people. They keep the campgrounds in tip top shape.
Very friendly, stop in and actually talk and make contact with everyone. My doggies warmed up to one of the host, family from Seattle and Westbank. My doggies barks at everyone. Sigh.
Bathroom is super clean. You can go over to the sister campground, Monument and have a wonderful hot shower.
The weather was not so great but the roof over the picnic table came in for the rescue!
I was able to travel to Homestead RT at about an hour.
My doggies enjoyed the walks and people actually pick up after their doggies! Yeah!
Last, thank you for the paper towels in bathroom.
