What Guests Are Saying
Midway Campground offers a peaceful and well-maintained environment with clean facilities and friendly hosts, making it an ideal stop for exploring the Everglades and Big Cypress areas. Campers appreciate the privacy of the spacious sites, easy access to hiking trails, and the campground's cleanliness. However, there are some limitations, including a lack of showers and minimal cell service, as well as a need for better signage to ensure safety and compliance with campground rules.

The campground is extremely clean, the host was visible and easy to talk to. Campsites were level mostly grass. Extremely quiet even with the highway so close. Site 14 at the back was excellent!

For the Big Cypress Preserve, this is the best federal campground to stay in. It offers 50amp hookup. Dump station and water available in the campground. Grounds are well maintained with a paved loop around the pond. We will stay here again. It's our first choice among federal parks in the Preserve.

Staff host was very helpful and friendly. She helped us connect with her star link account so we could make a reservation on the spot. The pond was nice but mosquitoes were troublesome. Bring spray!

Nice clean campground with a very friendly and informative ranger! Only thing you could do to make it better would be add hot showers.

This was our first visit to Midway Campground, and we were not disappointed. Very quiet and peaceful; and the grounds were clean. The staff we chatted with were all very friendly and helpful. We had gone to see the meteor showers, but the clouds did not cooperate, but we still enjoyed our stay and will definitely return!

Campground is small but clean well maintained. Bathrooms were clean. Doesn't have showers but if staying in an RV that does have a shower this is no problem.
