We stayed in site #12 in a 39ft class A motorhome. Site is level. We were able to back up to have the camper wheels at the end of the blacktop pad. That gave enough room in the front to park our truck. 50 amp service. ATT and T-mobile cell service is very poor. There is cell tower at the Monument campground, 7.8 miles from Midway. We drove up the highway until we had enough cell service for internet. Occasionally, standing in the front of the motorhome, we could get one bar. Filled with fresh water and emptied our tanks before we setup at our site.
We did the ranger guided bike ride and canoe trip. You need reservations for these by calling the Nathaniel P Reed visitor center. Highly recommend these two. Also recommend the Ten Thousand Island pontoon boat tour, from the Everglades National Park Adventures concessioner. Good tour, captain was very informative. Air boat ride from Captain Jacks in Everglade City was cool. Going through the mangroves was great. The swamp buggy tour part was lame. A little bit of water then just a dirt road, but it was the dry season. Definitely do the 15 mile bike ride at Shark Valley. Parking lot is small and crowded early. They only let one car in as one leaves. A lot of people park out on 41, then walk or ride your bike into the park. Saw LOTS of gators, fish and birds. No cars allowed on the 15 mile loop. Just the tram, walkers and other bikers. Stayed at Midway 7 nights and would definitely go back!!!

Always friendly host and a clean campground. It's a good place to explore some of the Everglades trails, although you need a vehicle to get to many of them.

Good spot. Poor cell. Be careful exiting from the east side if someone is using the dump station. Low branches to get around. Better to exit the loop in the other direction

Visit most winters for a week of so. Miles to "anywhere", but quiet and clean, but showers 10 miles away. 50A . Water near dump station, no water at sites. Small dog park could be a nice improvement.
