Campers appreciate the privacy of the spacious sites, easy access to hiking trails, and the campground's cleanliness. However, there are some limitations, including a lack of showers and minimal cell service, as well as a need for better signage to ensure safety and compliance with campground rules.

Very nice small campground. Stay away from sites 1 through 5 as they are close to the dumpster and smell a bit. Showers were available down the road to the west on the north side. I think it was called monument camp. You also can get cell service there. Look for the tower.

Midway electric (minimum cell service), Monument (8 miles west) great cell, hot shower (no electric). Beaches of Marco, groceries/services Naples, history Everglades City, great seafood everywhere. Everglades Shark Valley to the east, Big Cypress to the west, I0,000 Islands southwest, birds, alligators, and nature.

Midway is really a good way to experience the Everglades. It is very remote, quiet, and dark at night.

Midway provides a clean, well-kept, no-frills campground. A mix of RV and tent sites arranged around a pond, the hosts are very welcoming and had several recommendations for activities and places to see. The toilets are listed as "chemical", but they are fully plumbed and cleaned daily (at least once). In ground fire pits allowed us to have a nightly fire that was a great end to busy days. There is a central source of potable water but no electricity.

Tents are not required in tent camping area. Picture is not the tent area. People traveling stop in tent sites throughout the day. No one checks. Attempt was made to steal our bikes chained to pole about 5 AM. Gate not closed at night. Half mile circular loop of RVs. Friendliest campers ever. Made several good lifelong friends. Bathhouse clean. No showers. Swamp across road low water smell.
