We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Juniper Springs. We started with a little quick tour of the mill and the tribute plaques to the men of the CCC who built this place. We enjoyed swimming in the spring, but we especially enjoyed paddling Juniper Run! What a gorgeous paddle this is. We loved every minute of it. Having the rental there at the campground made the paddle easy and convenient. They pick up up hourly on the hour. They sestimated it would take us 4 hours but we took 4.5 and got a ride back later. If you like to go slowly and take a lot of photos you may want to consider estimating 5 hours. I loved hiking the Florida trail too which has an access point near the entrance of the campground. The staff was SUPER helpful and friendly. The campground was clean and quiet. There is a a lot of vegetation between sites so you have a lot of privacy. We would have stayed longer but couldn’t get more days of reservation! We highly recommend Juniper Springs. We’d come back here in a heartbeat.

The springs are lovely with the historical ambiance parks built during the CCC eta are known for. The campsites are too close together and because they do not have power there are a lot of generators running. The only place where we could walk our dog was on the campground loop. They charged us $8 to book online which brought the cost of the campground to $22/ night - overpriced, in our opinion.

Juniper Springs campground is fantastic! We stayed in the Sand Loop, which seemed to give each site more privacy. Water spigots are dispersed throughout, so there’s just a short walk necessary. The springs are crystal clear and beautiful. We didn’t swim, but we did kayak the 7 mile run…awesome! All of the staff we encountered were welcoming and informative. We’ll be back for sure!

They put me in the wrong style of campsite, my fire pit was broken. Every aspect of park closed. All trails and boardwalks closed for repairs. Locals said its been like that for a long time because they dont want to put money into anything. All signage is worn and almost un-readable. I did NOT have a good time the week i was there. i left early because of it all.

Site 069 was spacious and shady. We had plenty of space, but a bit more vegetation between the sites would have been welcome. It's a beautiful park with easy access to hiking and the springs. The bathroom was clean but you need to hold the handle down to keep the water flowing. It's hard to get a good shower! Also, almost all the wonderful features such as boardwalks, bridges, outdoor theater, etc. are in serious disrepair and closed. In spite of the inconveniences, we had a wonderful stay and enjoyed the park, and found the location convenient to a local town to restock and refresh.

Bathrooms didn't work consistently. Paddling Juniper spring, Silver Spring and Ocklawaha River is awesome!
