A very pleasant state. It was a shame the walkway across the dam was closed because of Covid. I was looking forward to hiking the trails on the other side.

St Lucie is a superb and pristine, but small COE Campground. An excellent example of the best your tax dollars can buy for you and at a very cheap price as well. We stayed on site 1 of only 9 sites and right beside the canal by the locks. It was interesting to the max to watch all the boats come and go through the locks and most of them large boats. There is a large gravel surface patio on each site w a picnic table and under a covered gazebo as well for weather, and a nice firepit for campfires and cooking if desired. Stuart FL is a short distance away and has a nice public beach area, as well as lots of FL shopping and dining locations. We will go back.

From I-95, take Exit 101 (Stuart/Indiantown), following SR 76 W for 0.5 miles to Locks Road.
