Very good campground, only issues were LOTS of ants but that comes with camping and no phone or tv reception but who needs either when you’re trying to relax!!

We love to visit this location. This time we came, the campsite was not cleaned from previous campers. There was no view of the lake. The brush was overgrown. Sugar ants came in to my camper and my daughters camper, who was right next to us. My husband let the attendant on duty know of the issues and his response was that it is typical of the camp ground cleanup crew to not clean. Several people have complained of the view and no one has attempted to clear out brush. And he did not offer to send anyone to spray for ants around the site. If this is an ongoing issue that others have complained about then it seems something would be done. Maybe eventually they will get the idea and help make the experience better.

Site #12 was great! We had plenty of room, it was private and a great site to have our boat. The only issue we had was the firepit was full of trash the day we checked in. We will definitely camp here again!!

There are a lot of dead trees on some of the sites that have been cut down. They need to be removed. Ants were a problem.
The sites are large and private- nice!

All sites are so well maintained and spacious. Some of the water access is better at others. Plenty of privacy between sites and roads are great for biking/scootering. Had to go over to Mistletoe State Park to buy firewood. And the dump station tank was full on Sunday at checkout so we had to go dump at Petersburg. Otherwise a great stay all around.

Only issue with our stay was the campground not allowing my family to come in to enjoy a day with us. I understand the situation we are in right now, however these are people I see everyday. Camping isn’t a large get together. It’s family and friends at one site away from others enjoying time together.

The hosts Sterling and Diana are very polite. They were knowledgeable about the campground and performed their duties in a professional manner.
