Winfield

We always enjoy camping at Winfield. Campground host was very nice. Great, relaxing weekend trip! Anytime we camp here we always eat at Bob's Cafe.

The lots are a nice size with a feel of privacy. The grounds were clean and well maintained. We enjoyed our stay. I do wish it stayed open later into the fall. It would be a beautiful time of year to be camping at the lake.

Campsites are very good. Restrooms could be a little better though and the lake is way down. We had a great time and will definitely return.

Excellent campsite! Peaceful, quiet, level with lovely water views. Looking forward to camping here again.

Site 40 has a lot of privacy and plenty of room for canopies, corn hole boards and chairs. Nice and level.

This is the best campsite in the area. The campsites have a large area of nature in between sites. All the volunteers are very help and nice.

We absolutely love Winfield. The campground is always so clean and the campsites are so spacious. The campground hosts were very nice too.

Our stay at site #19 was good except for an unusually large number of yellow jackets. I couldn’t find their hive but it must have been close by. Just sitting outside in front of the camper there would be 3 or 4 buzzing around us. I have never encountered yellow jackets like this on any other site at Winfield including next door at site 18. If they can be eradicated site 19 would be excellent with plenty of parking space and good lake access.
