We planned a trip to Canton for a wedding & made reservations 2 months early. Get there to stay at site 51. Well our camper is low and long and we could get in the site.WARNING SITE 51 IS FOR HIGH SHORT CAMPERS OR TENTS ONLY! Or plan to bring the lumber yard with ya to help u get in site 51. The lady at the office, Jane was very rude and not helpful! We ended up moving the camper 2 times in the 7 days we where there , no thanks to Jane! We used the app and found a site to move! Sites 1-37 are no where near the bath house. AND the front gate locks at 10:30! Bring two vehicles are be prepared to walk if you go out and get back after 10:30! We are going to stick with the GA State Parks! We where not Happy Campers! But we made it work!

Good lake campground much like other Recreation.gov campgrounds in Georgia. Staff was extremely friendly. Tornado went through campground two weeks before so there were trees down but out of the way.

Terrific campground and waterfront campsite. A lot of downed trees from last month’’s storms in the campground and the lake, but they were doing a great job in cleaning up. Friendly campground hosts.

Hosts at the beginning of the week were very sweet. Hosts at the end of the week were a little rude.

The campground host were very helpful. Even though they were busy (backed up) they took the time and patience to deal with each and every camper and their problem. They allowed us to drive thru and pick a spot that was open and then gave advise based on our needs. This made the trip very positive.
Now the negative, the people next to us decided to party all night. Being new to camping we didn’t know we could call the host and they would handle this situation. So if you go camping always get the after hours number so it’s available when or if needed. You don’t want to have to try find it when a problem arises.
Overall we enjoyed being outdoors and hope to go again soon.
