Had a great time. People at the front gate were so nice and greeted us. Site (137) was great. Lots of trees and shade. Bathrooms were heavily used and could have used some extra cleaning. But overall a great camping experience and will visit this campground again.

We were there through a very bad storm that unfortunately damaged a few campers ultimately closing the campground for a few days. The staff was very helpful throughout which was very much appreciated. Thank goodness there were no serious injuries. Also, thanks to COE for continuing forestry improvements in the Allatoona area. In all likelihood, work already completed reduced the potential for further damage. Let’s keep those controlled burns going.

We always enjoy our time at Sweetwater Campground. Both couples of attendants are great, friendly people. We have made some good friendships while camping there and have introduced our friends and family to this campground. The sites are roomy, not stacked on top of each other. They are close to restaurants and shopping also, and if you forget something, there’s a store just up the road. This is our favorite place to camp.

The campsite was awesome and even though a severe storm had hit 24 hours before we arrived the campground was clean and functional. Tree removal was still going on but it did not effect our stay. We will be back again.
