Park maintenance seems to have really gone downhill. Bath houses very unclean, grass had not been mowed in months and erroneous parking taking up spots at the boat ramp blocking actual users from parking. It was a holiday week, but still unacceptable and worse then we have seen over years past during the same holiday week.

The campsite was covered in garbage. Broken glass underneath the picnic table and on the tent pad, heaps of cigarette butts littered around the site, broken plasticware pieces were strewn around the table and underneath it. There was also trash in the fire pit. I reported it to the people at the front gate, and they said there was nothing they could do since the only person responsible for the sites is off on Wednesdays and Thursdays. Nobody ever came to clean the site and I left early because of it.
Neigboring campsite had a dog that barked at any movement or people. The waterfront by the site apparently is a very popular locaation for boaters to go and party. Expect loud music and partying noise throughout the day and into the night.

Don’t ask to many questions. Some of the gate attendants don’t like you questioning them.

We loved our spot and the campground was monitored very well. The beach was clean and our granddaughter loved the playground. I will book there again.
