Staff was very friendly and helpful! Bathrooms were spotless and grounds were very clean. Landscape could be better maintained. Poison ivy was everywhere.

Dump station needs hose adapters so you can clean out black tank. Grass needs cut.

No hook up at the dump station to clean out black tank. Grass is over grown. Been camping here for 20 years. This is the worst I have ever seen it.

Park hosts were nice. Some sites are right on top of each other. Ours was spacious and quiet. Some sites including ours hadn't been mowed in a long while, but the site immediately next to our had been recently mowed. The grass in our site was over 2 feet tall. No hot water in the bath house, and no soap dispenser in any bathroom in the park.

We had a wonderful stay at Sweetwater Campground! The two ladies at the check-in station (a married couple) were incredibly friendly and professional. They greeted us with a warm welcome and made the check-in process smooth and enjoyable.
We really appreciated the routine patrols by the park attendants, which helped maintain a safe and peaceful atmosphere. The comfort stations were very clean, and the staff throughout the campground were all extremely helpful and kind.
One improvement we’d recommend is that the gate lock times and emergency procedures be clearly explained at check-in. This important information wasn’t discussed, and it could help avoid confusion or safety concerns for campers arriving late or in need of assistance after hours.
Our biggest complaint was the lack of proper water hose adapters at the dump station. Other nearby Army Corps of Engineers campgrounds offer hoses that connect directly to a camper’s black tank flush system to help loosen debris. Sweetwater did not have this option, which made the dumping process more difficult than it needed to be. Adding this simple feature would greatly improve the experience for campers.
Overall, Sweetwater is a beautiful, well-maintained campground with friendly staff and great amenities. With just a few small updates, it could easily become one of the top camping destinations in the area.

Site did not work for our camper due to steps. In order to reach the utilities we had to be in a spot where our steps interfered with the site steps making it dangerous for us as older people. We stayed one night of our 7 booked and had to leave.

The camp site was beautiful with plenty of friendly people to talk with while still keeping plenty of time for relaxation with the family. We will definitely be back here and recommend it to anyone who wants a great camping experience!
