For over ten years it had been out A #1 campground. Now seems like just another place to dodge bugs and mosiquitos and hope the showers are really cleaner than they look.

Once our favorite park to camp but COE budget cuts have hit maintenance and the grass by our camper was over knee high. It’s sad to see it. Hoping things will ease up next year for them but since COE announced park closures it’s doubtful. Oddly enough never saw a Sheriff patrol go through either and that always happened at least once previously. Everyone there is always so friendly and helpful!

This has always been our fav campground for over 50 years. Due to recent govt money cut backs: the grass is not cut, bathrooms not cleaned, shrubs not trimmed, & campsites not cleaned in between camper check outs. It’s still our fav campground & we are disappointed in the recent changes.

We had a great, relaxing time at Bald Ridge Creek Campground. Our site was perfect to enjoy the morning sunrise and play in the water with our dogs. Only down side was the site area needed to be mowed.

We have camped at this campground for years and have never seen it in such poor shape. The grounds were neglected to the point of impacting the ability for our grandkids to play in the grass. It appeared the grass had not been cut in a very long time. There were individuals bringing lawnmowers from home and cutting their areas. This is disgraceful. Not only does it limit the ability to utilize all areas, it creates an environment for snakes and rodents. Bald Ridge Creek has always been a beautiful area. If this is going to be new norm for the Corp of Engineers we will have to reconsider where we camp. Whatever the excuses are for the poor maintenance is not good enough. I do hope it will be improved on back to the standards your customers expect and pay for.

The park was in the worst shape we have seen in our 20 years of camping there. The grass was 2 foot tall, the shrubs had shoots 6 foot high, and the bathrooms were not cleaned daily. Very disappointing considering record number of campers this year. Praying 2023 is much better!
