I used to love going here but they are not taking care of the camp ground. The grass was extremely high! I have 2 little dogs and it made it hard for us to walk them in the grass. We didnt appreciate having to walk through the high grass either.

We love this park, but something happened between our last visit in late May 2022 and this visit in mid-August 2022. We determined it was the Federal Government slashing funds for maintenance and upkeep. What a shock to see overgrown grass throughout the park and at campsites as well as four foot sprouts sticking up on all the bushes. The campground hosts were as amazing as ever, but their frustration wasn’t hard to miss. They were just as saddened as us campers. One of our camping neighbors, who lives near by, actually went home and brought his riding lawn mower back and took it upon himself to mow several occupied as well as unoccupied sites He also mowed several public areas while we were there. It was appreciated, but shouldn’t have had to happen. I even contacted Georgia Congressman Andrew Clyde to express our disappointment and sadness that this beautiful park is not being kept up properly. We were informed it is not just Bald Ridge Creek but all Army Corp of Engineer parks that are being affected. Lake Lanier was beautiful as usual, but the condition of Bald Ridge Creek campground was a sad sad shock.

Camp spot was great! The upkeep on the campground was bad. The grass was high, it was so bad that one camper went home and brought his lawnmower back and was mowing spots for people. When we asked about the upkeep, we were told the funds were cut. It’s sad because this is a beautiful place.

Cell service is horrible. The grounds are not kept up. The bath houses were not cleaned in a timely manner.
